This is what I predict the final 26 to look like based on Montella's usual choices and past selections.
GK: Uğurcan Çakır, Mert Günok, Altay Bayındır
The situation with Berke Özer is a shame as he would've been a better 2nd keeper. I expected Altay to make it over Muhammed because Montella seems to value experience in the team over current form. Personally, I would prefer Muhammed Şengezer, but it's unlikely for Altay to be cut given his contributions in the qualifiers. Mert is likely to make it for his leadership qualities and prior tournament experience.
LB: Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Eren Elmalı
Similar to the above, I expect Eren to be selected over Mustafa given more experience in the squad, despite the latter being in better form and a guaranteed starter in his club.
RCB: Merih Demiral, Ozan Kabak
I expect Samet to sit this one out, since Ozan Kabak is back and he seems to be in a higher pecking order in terms of right-footed centre-backs.
LCB: Abdülkerim Bardakçı, Çağlar Söyüncü
Ahmetcan Kaplan doesn't yet have any national team caps and Montella seems to prefer Çağlar when fit for his experience as the backup to Apo, despite Ahmetcan's great form in the Eredivisie this season. Yusuf at the moment is too inexperienced, and isn't a starter at his club. Çağlar Söyüncü is also ambidextrous with no weak foot and thus offers a more unique profile.
RB: Zeki Çelik, Mert Müldür
This is a straight-forward choice with Zeki starting and Mert as the backup.
CM/CDM: Hakan Çalhanoğlu, İsmail Yüksek, Orkun Kökçü, Atakan Karazor, Kaan Ayhan, Salih Özcan
Despite some of the latter above not being in form or playing many minutes, I still expect them to make it for prior experience and leadership. Kaan Ayhan is the team's vice captain and also a utility player in terms of position, and Salih is similarly experienced. Atakan Karazor's inclusion is controversial but I expect his solid club form and greater experience as his club's captain to put him above the very young Demir Ege Tıknaz in Vincenzo Montella's eyes.
CAM: Arda Güler, Can Uzun
Very self-explanatory, but given the amount of games, I expect Can Uzun to play a bigger role in lower pressure matches to give Arda some rest.
LW: Kenan Yıldız, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Barış Alper Yılmaz, Aral Şimşir
This is the position with the greatest depth in the team. Kenan will obviously be starting, but BAY is expected to play on the opposite wing, or rotate as a false 9 with Kerem. Aral Şimşir is the wild card here. He's been unlucky with his injuries, but given his spectacular club form, it would be hard for Montella to ignore such a creative player. Oğuz Aydın has been in poor-form this season and is likely to miss out.
RW: Yunus Akgün, İrfan Can Kahveci
This is the position with the least depth after Centre-forward, and thus I expect ICK to make it by default despite his troubles this season. Yusuf Sarı is likely to miss out given ICK's value in the dressing room and more team experience.
CF: Deniz Gül
He's the lone striker in the squad so his inclusion is guaranteed as he provides a unique profile off the bench.
