Why does this happen?
I have just treated this pair of Crestifield Mid Chelsea Boots (which are branded as full-grain leather) with the Waximum I have been given at the shop.
The question is: why the very moment I start wearing them after treatment (which I have done with cedar shoetrees inside, three days ago), this really strong discolouration happens inside and through the creases, and in general on the vamp in the points the shoes bend? The first time I thought I did something wrong, but now I think it has to do with the structure of the shoe. Is it just because of friction and because the wax gets "pushed out" of the bending points?
This particular thing has never happened to any of my other leather shoes, and I'm genuinely confused. Also, it doesn't look that great.
Pics for reference.
