I had an ileostomy put in 2 months ago due to a ruptured colon. Everything has been going good with it minus the occasional leak. But in the past 3 days I’ve gone through 4 bags and I’m losing sleep waking up covered in crap.

My issue is that the stool likes to burrow under the wafer instead of going into the bag. my stoma is a size 18-20 and I’m using Coloplast barrier rings and wafers. I’ve talked to a representative from Coloplast and she recommended the convex wafers or something else besides the barrier rings. Also I have two skin separations around the stomach if that helps with advice I’m asking for.
