Back in Elementary School I read a horror anthology and I've never been able to find it since. One distinct story I remember is two kids playing in a sandbox and one of them gets sucked in to the sand and dissapears? Another they played hide and seek and the seeker gets transformed into a monster. It ended with the protagonist being cornered and presumably killed. If it helps I read it on the platform Epic
