How are new graphic designers getting their first Fiverr clients in 2026?

Hi everyone,

I've been thinking about starting on Fiverr as a graphic designer, mainly offering services like logo design, minimalist art, illustrations, and other creative artwork. The problem is that the competition seems incredibly high, and almost every successful seller already has hundreds or thousands of reviews.

For those who started from scratch:

How did you land your first few clients?

Is it better to focus on one niche (like logos) or offer multiple art-related services?

How important are portfolio quality and gig thumbnails?

Did you market your Fiverr gigs outside the platform?

What are some mistakes that beginners usually make?

I'm willing to put in the work and build a portfolio, but I'd love to know what actually helped you get noticed when you had zero reviews.

Any honest advice or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!
