5 weeks post op 🙈

have been reading this sub thread for the longest, just thought i'd contribute! It is hard to do because I haven't always been the most secure in my body, i had my first child just shy of my 18th birthday so i didn't get to enjoy my youthful figure for long. and i must say it's pretty amazing to have a flat tummy again for the first time in almost 18 years. for reference i am 35, 5'0 and about 155 lbs, I got a mommy makeover on 4/21, i've had 3 children and gained and lost weight so many times over the years before getting VSG and finally losing and keeping off 60 lbs. my mommy makeover consisted of a breast lift and slight reduction, mostly to even my breasts out, as one was larger + droopier. The surgeon also performed a full tummy tuck and some lipo of the flanks. so far I am really happy with the results, i will say this, the recovery is a lot more difficult than I anticipated, and its a slow process, i definitely still don't feel "normal" lol, I get tired quickly doing things that were like nothing at all before. it's been a wild ride but week by week things are getting easier and i'm getting more energy. For the ladies who are starting to feel the post surgery blues, you aren't alone! it's rough being stuck on the sidelines for such an extended period, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, i promise, hang in there!
