hi! I’m 5mpp and going into an echo tomorrow. my medical anxiety has me convinced they’re going to find heart failure. has anyone had an echo post all of this and it gone fine? My EKG was fine.

I went to the cardiologist last week and had elevated pressure (140/90), which I was pretty happy with all things considered 😅 I am on amlodipine still. my numbers at home have been 100-105/70-75, so I mentioned wanting to come off. the cardiologist said since my pressure in office was high, he isnt trusting my cuff at home (even though we checked it) and I’m getting an echo done instead. if my echo comes back fine, then I can come off meds. but if my heart is thick, then I need to stay on them.
