We just went to little trout lake and saw dozens of trees chopped down with axes (not park staff). If you want to continue enjoying the park and preserving it don't chop down trees and bring in your firewood.

It is against park rules to chop trees for fireworks even if they're dead wood.

Edit:

The cuts we saw were live trees some of them were more than 2ft in diameter.

Correction, cutting dead wood in back country is allowed.
