Fan-made tinker specialties? What y'all got?
I'm curious on what tinker specialties people have come up with, whether overpowered, weak, wacky, horror or just funny.
I'll start, I made a pretty basic one, a tinker with a specialty in pruning and simplification technology. They basically look at or make something complex with lots of parts and their power is about breaking down and removing everything that doesn't need to be there for it's fuctions. Like for example, a redundant part inside of a gun. This tinker would look at it and ask "does this part need to exist?" And audits it, the tinker checks over the budget that the part takes in mass, weight, volume, heat, power, complexity, if it fails the audit. It either gets deleted, and gets it's work absorbed by another surviving component, or if the redundancy is of tactical importance. Makes it do something else while also being redundant for the first system. so it isn't just sitting idle.
Basically it boils down to simplifying tech, complexity is not more to this tinker. removing complexity, budget overhead, weight, volume, power use that doesn't need to be there. Freeing up space, and budget to add in new fuctions which starts the pruning and simplifying process all over again as the new fuctions now reveal several other redundant systems and so on.
I was thinking of the tinker themselves being a focal tinker, perhaps a combat × focal tinker or a hyperspecialist × focal tinker. Maybe a liberty tinker, although I dont know about that one.
