• We sold our house in ****wichita, Ks and moved into a luxury duplex **also in Wichita, Ks - expected to relax and enjoy ourselves, retired. Immediately after moving in there were signs of bugs have had 4 uninterested exterminators who say its so clean they dont see anything, yes because we do everything we are supposed to.

We had a few weeks of quiet spell and signs of activity again. I sat down at dining table to go through papers.i noticed this light colored table looked diffrent. It looked dirty.

Got a cloth and pledge and sat down to polish - I notice a black line between spindles and in layers on table.I rubbed it and see a small larvae - this table is distressed and Broyhill put the chips and marks on the top not me- I see some orangey color dust in one of the hoIes that is bigger than it should be and a flashlight - look and see a split that was always there is now wider and soft and when I shine bright light in there I get a glimpse of 4 or 5 orangey colored things in there

The carpet beetles have been living in my table, we were astonished but read they often living in dining tables

We vacuumed and sprayed a mist of vinegar in holes - next morning nothing but later that day the orangey, brown, rust colored specks were in the holes

Called exterminator yesterday and all he wanted to discuss - sign a contract we will come every 3 months - not knowledgeable of carpet beetles, infested table...

We have to find someone to get table out - I dont suppose that will take care of 100% of the problem - will it? The table may be full of them!

At beginning of this they were living in a small white bedroom table and had managed to separate a piece of probably plywood from the top and it was filled with black - my husband took table out and bedroom was treated - nothing seen in it for many months

How did they find the dining table? There is a large windows across from table....

Extremely close to kitchen island , bar area and kitchen itself

Opinions of what they will do next?

It's a Sunday hope to find an exterminator tomorrow- that's hard though !

Will post pictures but they aren't as clear as I'd wish for. The infestation was here when we moved in, we have been paying for this but are leasing from private owner is that right?
