Is psychiatry a good option for non us img *realistically* ?
I’m a 4th/final year non us img preparing for step1. I’m thinking of giving it during my internship. I asked some of my seniors and they told me to focus on final year subjects rather than step1 prep and only start serious prep for it after internship starts. They also told me to build a strong cv in the meantime. I wanna ONLY pursue psychiatry in the US. Since it’s the only one I like out the specialties they give to non us img
My only concern is how shd I build my cv? I heard during matching, it’s better if u focus only on one subject while building cv, psychiatry in my case, but the scores need to be super high in step2 to get matched in psych.
Shd I keep my research/experiences options diverse Incase I wanna choose another specialty or stick to psych related research/publications ?
