Inspection in cooling off (Adelaide)
Looking to make an offer on a house this week and was talking to the REA about arranging a building inspection.
He said not to worry until seller confirmed we were the winning bid as we had a 2 business day cooling off period to arrange an inspection and consider the findings. If we dont like what we find we cancel the offer and get our deposit back (less $100). I understand this is an SA only thing?
Fair enough makes sense and I have an inspector on standby.
He also said to not mention subject to building inspection on the offer as it would be rejected and redundant given i had the cooling off period. This is giving me pause. Does that sound correct to you?
