Streetly/Sutton coldfield area
Hi all,
We’re a family of 3 with a baby currently living in Nottingham and looking to move to Birmingham.
We’ve found a few houses within our budget in this area. Originally, we were focusing more on Great Barr and the main parts of Streetly (in and around chester road or bridle lane), but a lot of the properties we viewed in our price range seemed quite run down or needed a fair bit of work before moving in.
I just wanted to get a feel for this particular area. I know it technically falls under Streetly/Sutton Coldfield, but it also seems very close to Kingstanding which we hear can be rough?
What’s the area generally like; is it rough, quiet, family-friendly? We’ve been to Sutton Park before and really liked it, so that’s definitely a plus. Just wondering if there’s anything we should know or be aware of before going ahead with a property here.
