Small background: I have been working on a hardware product that has done well in local (Utah) competitions and grant funding mechanisms. Our company is set to transition to renevue soon, which is very exciting, as my PhD comes to a close in the next few years.
I think its time to start branching out and meeting other founders across the United States as my pool of people in Utah is very small compared to the San Franciscos, El Segundos and New Yorks. Do you have any recommendations of events, conferences, hackatons or anything of the sort that you have done in the past to start exploring new connections?
I have a feeling I will be leaving Utah after this chapter of my education comes to a close and would like to start planting seeds and finding the right resources for that eventual move. As some may know, startups don't always work out, but the spirit and meeting likeminded people is what I am interested in!
