Berlin Taxi Driving Style

Once a year I travel to Berlin for a trade show. Every time I do, I have found the experience with taxis pretty intolerable - primarily because of the driving style. Harsh acceleration, harsh braking, turning corners at the speed of sound - I’m always left car sick by the end of the journey, and usually just end up taking the train places instead from then on. I haven’t found this in other cities, not even in New York City where the driving is completely wild. One time there was an accident - taxi driver was throwing the car around a car park where he had picked me up, and he drove into a lamp post. I also find them to be quite rude, not only to the customer/passenger, but towards other road users - eg if someone is trying to park their car and is in the way of the taxi, taxi driver will honk and gesture to them. Does anyone else, who actually lives in Berlin, find this to be the case? For context, I am from Ireland.
