Mesalamine- Shanghai

I'll be moving to Shanghai (Fudan University) for two years on scholarship. I take mesalamine (brand name Pentasa) for a very mild IBD. this medication is expensive even in my country (my job covers it completely) so I am wondering would it be available in Shanghai?

I will have medical insurance under my scholarship but it's only 800 rmb per year. would it be covered or would i have to buy it out of my pocket..I have tried searching for this medicine and it's price online in China but nothing turns up. Can anyone please help?

Chinese Language courses - Fudan University - English-taught Masters program

Hi everyone,

I have been pre admitted to English-taught Masters of Global public policy program at Fudan University (IMPA/MGPP) with csc scholarship and I had a question about graduation requirements for international students at Fudan.

I’ve heard mixed information regarding Chinese language requirements. Some people told me that only basic Chinese courses are required, while someone I know who did a PhD in China said they had to pass HSK 3 before graduation, which delayed their degree by a year.

for my program it is mentioned that a thesis of 20k words with abstract in Chinese and English is mandatory and Language courses of 4 credit hours are mentioned as "basic courses"

For students currently studying or recently graduated from Fudan’s English-taught master’s programs:

  1. Is an official HSK certificate required for graduation?

If yes, what level? (HSK 3, 4, 5?)

  1. Or do you only need to pass the university’s internal Chinese language courses? How difficult to pass are those? I also read that some universities require only attendance of language course and no examination is required. Has anyone experienced this?

Would really appreciate hearing recent experiences, especially from international master’s students. Thank you.
