Barrow Group or Strasberg??

I’m stuck between The Barrow Group’s 6 weeks summer intensive and Lee Strasberg’s 2 week summer intensive… I am focused on Film/Tv rather than Theatre acting. I know there are other intensives but timing/pricing just didn’t work for me for their summer sessions. I would love to hear if anyone has any experience with either of these places/teachers!!

NYC Summer Intensives

Hey! I would love to hear if anyone’s had any experience with any of these studios for a summer intensive? I am moving to NYC soon and would love to do a summer intensive, my main thing is acting for film & tv and I really want to use this intensive as an intro to in-person classes, since i’ve only done online and hopefully as a tool to also meet some new people! I think it would also be cool to stay with a studio as well after the intensive and just continue to take single classes with them!

So, my current choices are The Barrow Group, T. Schreiber Studio, Lee Strasberg (2 week intensive), or Academy of Dramatic Arts. I also looked into Atlantic, Esper, and Stella Adler but those are a bit out of my price range. I’m also totally open to any other suggestions anyone has!

Repunzel?

Hi! I decided to use repunzel and sent 100ish emails. 50 today & 50 last night! As of now, 53 of those have been opened but my link has only been clicked on 4x by the same agency (I feel like that might be a glitch lol) anyways! Has anyone used this service and noticed their email was opened/or link wasn’t clicked and still receive a meeting offer? I really am not sure how this all works, like within the agencies, but I am trying to not get too down at the idea that already majority of my emails have been opened with no response haha.

Landscape?

Hello! I got my headshots done, and received the unedited gallery. I am trying to choose which to retouch and a major favorite amongst myself and everyone i’ve asked (friends/family) is a photo taken in landscape mode. I have only ever used headshots taken in portrait so I am really conflicted on if using a retouch on that photo is the smart choice? Plus, if I need to print it out i’d either have to tightly crop it or print it out sideways… does anyone have any insight on this?

Does anyone know of a service where I can send someone my headshot gallery and have them help me choose which for my profile/to be retouched? I just got my proofs back and I am having the hardest time making decisions, plus I think feedback from someone in the industry would be helpful!
