Not everything is a Trope
Religion as a lovestory trope!? A Trope????? how? why?
And I'm sorry, but how is "Punjabi" even a religion 😭😭 Isn't being Punjabi a regional and cultural identity... and the religion would be Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, etc.. of that "punjabi" character?
Tbh whatever this book has listed as "tropes" are not really tropes, exactly.. (correct me if I'm wrong)
Inter-caste and inter-religious love stories aren't exactly something to be called a trope, I think? It would be more like themes, plotline or conflict in the story
And even if it is a Trope... what about "first love" and "age gap" being written as tropes? This doesn't really sit right with me... it's more like dynamics between the characters and has nothing to do with the genre and lovestory, I feel so?
I have been noticing.. many authors use the Age Gap as a Trope tag( specifically big age gaps, and mostly FMC are the younger one 💀 ) but is it actually a trope or more of a relationship dynamic of the characters????
and the obsession with age gap is so unhealthy and unflattering for a lovestory... because it's mostly cliche or has dom and sub dynamics, i don't understand why??? is grooming new favourite?
the idea of age gap in lovestory, is actually appealing to me, if only done right but till now i haven't read any Wattpad book representing it correctly or interesting, romantic way. specially reverse age gap is so so interesting theme ( recommend reverse age gaps books pls )
And about the TROPE topic, imo it is basically a commonly used story pattern or a setup in fiction, a type of lovestory and the cliché love angles, it's descriptions in 2-3 words...
About the book mentioned above, if someone has read this book, please tell me in the comments,, what's actually so special about it, that it’s in the top 10 currently ( genuinely curious )
