Hi everyone!

I just got diagnosed with PCOS. Half sad, half happy I have answers.
My doctor (who I really like) told me birth control is really the only thing that will help my symptoms
(Weight gain, acne, heavy periods, irregular cycles, energy levels, etc.) She recommends an IUD specifically for the periods, as well as a tablet for my other symptoms.
But I am so freaked out. I’m scared of making any of these symptoms worse, and I tried birth control once years ago and hated it. I know each body is different, but do you have any advice? Either advocating for or against, or if you have any natural remedies. Help!
