Zil Money and AMEX Platinum Rewards
Has anyone used Zil Money with an AMEX Business Platinum to fund payroll?
We use Gusto and are looking at running payroll through Zil so we can charge it to the AMEX and potentially earn 2X points on purchases over $5K.
The issue is Zil won’t give me a definitive MCC/merchant code, and AMEX told me I need to confirm that with Zil.
Has anyone actually done this and can confirm:
- How the Zil charge coded on AMEX
- Whether it earned 2X points
- Whether AMEX treated it as an eligible purchase vs. cash equivalent
