Help! idk what I am doing wrong with my chemistry practical!
I am doing an IA on investigating the rate of Crystal violet discolouration with NaOH solution and I changed the NaOH concentration from 0.1, 0.01, 0.001, 0.0001, 0.00001M with constant CV solution of 1x10^-5M. It was given that 1x10^-5M and 0.1M is a suitable concentration for this reaction but no matter what independent variable I try (even temperature) the reaction ends at 6seconds while theoretically, it takes around 3 to 15 minutes or even longer. What could I be doing wrong? I used 1:1 ratio of both solutions.
