Which strings for the Martin D15
Hey there,
I know this subject has already been asked but I just changed my strings on my Martin D15 from Monel rétro to Ernie Ball Paradigm Light PB yesterday.
I’m not digging the sound so far it lacks articulation and there is too much of that Metallic zingy tone of fresh strings.
Anyone have other experience with those strings ?
Should I wait a week before considering any change of strings ?
If so, which one would you recommend for a warm / vintage woody tone that has nice Bass et high end ?
I’m interested in John Pearse PB of DR sunbeams next, if not, Martin SP PB and D’addario XT PB
Anyone have had expérience with 80/20 strings too? I really liked the EB Earthwoods 80/20 on my Guild but not sure on this one ?
I want to see if I can find Good PB or 80/20 strings before deciding if I’m staying on Monel/nickel Bronze strings which I’ve been really happy with !
