Lake Maggiore?

Hello everyone,
My boyfriend and I are visiting Italy for the first time this upcoming July for 10 days. We want a picturesque beach location that won't be horribly crowded. We are leaning towards Lake Maggiore in the north. People who have gone there, can you confirm it is a worthwhile destination? Southern Italy sounds gorgeous but the idea of massive crowds all over is scaring me away. Questions I have are...
People who have summered in beach locations in the south of Italy- did the crowds detract from your experience? Would you go back?

For Lake Maggiore: Are there any things that must be booked well in advance? I would ideally like to wait until my work schedule comes out to book everything.

How many days should we spend in Milan first- and what are must sees?

Should we stay at an airbnb? Or a beach front hotel?

Thank you,
Happy travels

▲ 10 r/ACL

Hi all. 8 months ago I got a revision ACL with patella tendon and meniscus repair/trim. The first 6 weeks post op I was with a PT that did not prioritize my extension. She never told me not to rest with my knee bent, and I do so often. My surgeon told me those first 6 weeks could very well be the reason I have so much scar tissue.

2.5 months ago I had a scar tissue removal because my flexion was bad, and my extension was worse. I was always limping around because my leg wouldn’t straighten.

Since the surgery my gait has normalized and things have gotten better with my extension. But my knee still feels so tight. I have 140 degrees passive flexion ( but only 120 active). I have full extension. But it feels like the scar tissue is preventing my knee cap from moving. Is this all because of that first PT who didn’t tell me not to rest with a bent knee?
