Cocktail Director Homi Adajania about the difference between Cocktail 1 & Cocktail 2. Very Shady though😭

At the Cocktail 2 song event director Homi Adajania said, This time there's a story in Cocktail by Luv Ranjan😭 which kind of sounded like he meant Part
1 lacked one. Kriti and Rashmika's reactions were epic🤣

I mean story-wise Cocktail was mid with a banger music album but it worked in 2012 because it was a new kind of story at that time. Nowadays if the story is just about a love triangle there are already so many movies following the same pattern.
His statement also kind of felt like a dig at Imtiaz Ali.
I don't know why the Cocktail 2 team is so hell bent on promoting the movie by being shady along with the made-up fake fight between Kriti and Rashmika over the song launch and paying influencers and journalists to make reels about it. Anyways I hope the movie is good since the director says this time it has a story.

[According to a person working with the Ranabaali team on set]

Vijay.D & Rashmika are starring together in Ranabaali produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The production house has reportedly requested them not to get papped together too often while travelling. If they do get spotted they’ve been advised to appear separately, as they are reuniting on screen after Dear Comrade (2019). Together after 7 years. Dear Comrade was also produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The team feels that after their wedding they were quite visible for a few days so now the team wants Rashmika & Vijay to maintain some exclusivity for the film’s promotions. They may still get papped together occasionally but mostly they will be seen separately. Vijay mostly wants to stay away from frequent public appearances. As of now the film is releasing on September 11 2026 release. The team may release something on May 9th for Vijay’s birthday. They are also planning to do promotions in North.

Also, Kriti Sanon has been approached for Vijay Deverakonda’s next film with the director of Hi Nanna. The film is said to be on a different scale with technicians from Hollywood taking it to a global level cinema. The announcement and pooja ceremony for the film recently took place.Kriti is currently in the early stages of discussion. (Not sure how accurate this is, though.)
