I am a high school science teacher who will be welcoming my first student teacher into my classroom this fall. I want to provide her with the best experience I can, and don’t have a good mentor teacher from my student teaching days as inspiration. Please tell me about things your mentor teachers did that you really liked/found helpful, things that you didn’t like, and/or things you wish they would have done. Any and all information will be helpful!

I also teach two different AP courses, so if you have/had experience with a mentor teacher teaching those kinds of classes, your specific experience with those will be helpful as well.
