1 ovary and early menopause?

Im 37 and had a hysterectomy at 32. The only thing I was left with was my right ovary. During the surgery they had to extensively clean the ovary. It was consumed with chocolate cysts and scar tissue. My doctor warned it would fail, but had hoped it would last until I was 40.

I believe it is failing.

I have been experiencing a lot of unpleasant symptoms lately. Does anyone have experience with this?

Panic, trauma, and grief.

I'm in a tough spot. I have had ocd for 20 years. Im 37f. I had covid in Sept 2025 and started having panic attacks. I was switched from Lexapro to Effexor. Its not helped.

In December, my 32 year old sister collapsed. We thought she was healthy. We learned she had Advanced Metastatic Ovarian Cancer 6 days before she died. It was a traumatic and overwhelming experience.

In March 2026, my ex husband was finally arrested for child SA after a 4 year investigation. My kids and myself and our trauma were forced into the spotlight.

I am tired. I panic everyday, several times a day. I am sad and I feel like I have lived in flight or fight mode forever.

I go to the Dr on Monday and I'm going to ask to switch to something else. I just cannot change increasing effexor and the panic worsening. I have had success with Paxil 4 yrs (came of bc of surprise pregnancy) and Zoloft 5 yrs (came off when trying to find the cause of passing out prior to hysterectomy). And then the Lexapro 5 years was fine before Covid in September.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, benzos are not an option as they are a phobia of mine.
