Gameplay, graphics, or price: what matters most for indie games on Switch?

Curious what people here think.

When you open an eShop page for a smaller indie game, what usually makes you interested enough to wishlist it?

Is it gameplay first, graphics at first glance, the price, trailer, local multiplayer, performance, or reviews?

I’m asking because we’re a Ukrainian indie team working on RACE: Rocket Arena Car Extreme, an arcade combat racing game for Nintendo Switch with rockets, car battles, abilities, and local split-screen.

Would be interesting to hear what actually makes people give smaller Switch games a chance.

Is local split-screen still important for racing games on Nintendo consoles in 2026?

Local multiplayer has always felt like a big part of Nintendo gaming, especially for racing and arcade-style games.

But with online multiplayer being the standard now, I’m curious how people actually feel about split-screen in racing games today.

Do you still look for local split-screen when choosing a racing game, or is online multiplayer more important to you now?
