Help identifying buttstock markings - M95 carbine from Ethiopia (RTI)

Couldn’t help but pull the trigger on a $99 Grade C Steyr M.95 carbine from RTI. It’s pretty worn and the pricetag reflects it…but I knew what I was getting into and honestly love it for the price.

Any thoughts on what the tacks in an I-shape on the buttstock symbolize? I’ve heard of Christian graffiti found on these rifles but otherwise have no idea…TIA!

Help - identifying M.95 buttstock markings (from Ethiopia stockpile)

I recently purchased an M.95 in 8x50 from Royal Tiger Imports. Other markings indicate that it was produced in 1916, but I cannot find any source that identifies what the carving on this particular buttock might indicate.

Solider graffiti? Clan/militia markings from use in that Ethiopia/Somalia? Any assistance would be appreciated!
