I’m a 38F and I just ran a hilly half marathon this weekend in 2:00 after a rather mediocre six weeks of training. I LOVED IT. I ran conservatively and felt great the entire time. I ran the first six miles around 9:30/mile and the last seven around 8:20.

I’m getting back into running after getting sober a couple of years ago (yay), and my “training” has basically been “go outside and come home when I want to.” I ran a 15k trail race last fall, but mostly lifted over the winter.

I’m feeling the itch and wondering if a fall marathon is realistic. If so, any plans you recommend? I’d like to keep up my strength work.
