Jade plant hates me
The short version: after a rocky road with this jade plant, I finally thought I had gotten it healthy again. Just about a month and a half ago, it had nice two inch long roots to it. It was in a rocky cactus soil/perlite mix. Now it has no roots. It is in a west facing window in my bathroom. I water it when it looks dry (about once every 20 days on average). The picture is its home deconstructed due to examining the roots.
The long version: I got a jade plant. It got root rot and I managed to take cuttings from it. This was the biggest cutting I got from it. It was growing fine then I moved it to a smaller pot because it was put in the only pot I had available with the other cuttings and decided to separate them. It got root rot so I saved it and put it in an even smaller pot. It was still struggling so I put it in the same pot but added rocks to it. It was doing well but then started to struggle again (I think it had some kind of pest because the roots seemed fine and so I sprayed it with rubbing alcohol regularly and it seemed fine again). At that point I put it in my garden hospital room (aka my bathroom) and left it there. It was doing great so I topped it off with a pinch more soil/perlite mix since the soil had been eroding away a bit. That was about a month ago. Then its bottom leaves started to shrivel. I thought it was a pest again due to me bringing another suspected pest ridden plant in there- didn’t exactly realize that until later- so I sprayed it with alcohol again but nothing was helping. I went to inspect the roots and now they are practically gone. I am not sure what else to do for this plant. For the record, I have other jade plants in a west facing window in the room next door that are doing well. It is just this one that is giving me issues. Please help!
