I’ve had my cocker spaniel puppy since she was 8 weeks, turning 1 soon. I just wanted to say to anyone currently in the trenches - it does get better!

I cried every day, regretting all my decisions and honestly thought I was a terrible person for geniunely wanting to rehome her at times. She was a bad biter which made it worse, and it felt like she only bit me, not my partner.

10 months later? I could not imagine life without her. The bond we’ve built is incredible and she impresses me everyday how smart and loving she is

Don’t get me wrong, the teenager phase is testing at times but when I think back to how I felt last August-October, I remember how far she’s come

For anyone in the puppy blues right now - your feelings are valid, no they aren’t doing it on purpose and it WILL get better x
