Kolossos is Significantly too Overpowered.
Let me begin this by saying I am new. I have begun playing this game three days ago, and I love this game to death. It has quickly become one of my favorites, and is one of the only games I've been playing on roblox as of recent. I would argue that this game is probably one of my favorites on the platform ever.
There is one thing that consistently, always brings this game down.
Kolossos doesn't fit. He is absolutely abysmal to play into, because nothing actually works against him. I understand that the main gameplay philosophy regarding this character is to keep away at all costs, or suffer the consequences. The issue is, you can't keep away.
Kolossos is imbued with one of the quickest abilities in the game, and the most aggressive of any killer. For a character that's meant to be "slow in exchange for high damage," he's probably one of the quickest behind Fleetway.
Not only this, but hiding is apparently useless because he just gets walls? I haven't played him myself and absolutely refuse to, but I've read that it's an ability he has. Why? If his survivor gameplay is to keep away and hide, why does he have Superman's X-Ray vision???
His counter also just renders entire kits useless. Stunners serve no purpose against him unless you're running a full 7+ player bully squad and are essentially surrounding him, but even that ends in one person just being sacrificed and killed instantly. Knuckles, useless. Metal, useless. Blaze stands a chance because she has two, but if she tries to use her kick, she eats 90 damage. I understand however, that the counter is needed in this game. I recognize, however, that a counter to stunning in this game is needed. It is very strong, but that isn't where my issue lies. It's always what comes after.
As someone who's a Metal main, he's almost impossible to shake off. If you charge into him, he counters and you're stuck on the ground. If you charge away, he charges after you, or stands in the way and counters, or hits you for 60% of your healthbar and then kills you. The only way you can actually manage to escape reliably is if nearly all his cooldowns are burnt, and in a one on one chase, that simply isn't happening.
It's incredibly disheartening to see a teammates healthbar go from 100 to 8 in a span of two seconds because Kolossos managed to land a single hit on someone. That shouldn't be happening in any situation, full stop.
Kolossos, being the "slow" killer should not have an ability that crosses the entire map in half a second and leads into a 90+ damage combo. If he has that, his charge should not be able to pierce counters (Eggman Shield, for example). If he has that, he should not have a counter that renders entire kits useless, that also leads into a 90+ damage combo. If he has both abilities, he shouldn't have a 90+ damage combo.
Not only this, but Kolossos' general gameplay philosophy completely eliminates any desire to adhere to the core gameplay philosophy. The instant a Kolossos is chosen, the idea of teamwork is thrown out the window. Why even attempt a revive if it means you'll instantly be downed trying to do it? Why attempt a revive if it means they'll just be one tapped for that matter? A teammates being chased? Why try to help, when you'll get countered for it and get killed yourself? Why use your abilities for anything, when he renders any escape tool or stun tool effectively useless?
Kolossos is genuinely the only killer I have an issue with. 2011x is probably the easiest, but can genuinely decimate a lobby with actual skill. I've seen it in action, a genuinely good lobby getting wiped through actually good plays. 2011x is difficult to play, but is incredibly rewarding for learning the character.
Tripwire operates in the same way, being a strategic killer. While I've dealt with him the least, I understand how he functions, and he is personally one of the most fascinating to me. He's not the best in chases, but he certainly excels in setting them up.
Even Fleetway, I see a lot of hate for him, but honestly? In my time playing, Fleetway has been hard, but significantly more balanced than Kolossos. He's hard in a way that feels like someone actually has to put practice in on him. He feels difficult in the way that a boss fight is difficult, not braindead easy for the killer to play.
Kolossos, however, is braindead easy. The gameplay for Kolossos is genuinely just a way to turn your brain off and have the game given to you. It's not ever fun to play into, and I genuinely want to stop playing every time I see him in the selection screen.
Kolossos needs to be tweaked, badly. This character has genuinely ruined my ability to get other people into this game due to his sheer unfairness. I have attempted to get my friends to play this game, and three out of five have stopped, and cited Kolossos as their reasoning.
I will not attempt to recommend nerfs, because truthfully, I don't know what could fix this killer. I don't want to just change his whole kit and gut the character, because his ideas are kind of needed. A stun counter IS needed for this game, and 2011x shows that, as he's kind of a victim to bully squads. What isn't needed is a 0 to death combo for just existing within the same ZIP code as him.
I want to love this game, and I already do, but Kolossos is a genuine day ruining experience.
TL;DR: I hate Kolossos with a passion. 100 to 5 HP Combo shouldn't exist, and he completely turns the game's ideas on it's head and drives away new players.
