HIT Scholarship Application + Student Life in Harbin
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to apply for the AI bachelor’s program at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) main campus, and I have a few questions for current students or alumni.
One thing I’m confused about is the HIT Scholarship application process. I already contacted the HIT admission/scholarship contact email, but I haven’t received a reply yet.
If I apply for the HIT Scholarship and pay the scholarship application fee, but I don’t get selected, will my application automatically be considered for self-financed admission, or do I need to submit a completely separate application?
Also, I wanted to ask about student life in Harbin.
- How was your experience studying there overall?
- How difficult is the weather to adapt to, especially for international students coming from warmer countries?
- Is the cold manageable after a few months?
Since I’m planning to study AI/Computer Science related subjects, I’m also curious about work opportunities while studying.
- Are there any part-time jobs available for international students in Harbin?
- Are there tech companies, startups, or industries there related to AI/software/engineering?
- Is it possible to get internships during bachelor studies?
Would really appreciate any advice or experiences. Thanks!
