Anyone else feel like Shopify apps are becoming insanely over engineered
Maybe unpopular opinion but I miss when Shopify apps just did one thing properly. \n\nFeels like every app now wants to be an all in one AI powered retention ecosystem with 400 dashboards and gamification features nobody asked for. We tried a loyalty platform recently and half the onboarding felt like setting up enterprise software for NASA. \n\nMeanwhile all I actually wanted was a clean way to reward repeat customers without spending hours configuring rules and triggers. \n\nA lot of these apps feel built more for impressing store owners during demos than actually helping customers shop better.
