Why...?
Part of the reason these pants, specifically barrel-legged pants, work is that they have a clean line from hip to ankle. I'm just not sure why OGL has decided to put this button flap on the outside exterior of the ankle.
I would love this pair of pants if the flap were on the interior and you could actually adjust between two button settings. If you wanted to roll it up and then button it, maybe that would also be interesting for days at the beach or something. Alternatively, you could make that little flap into something slightly higher, and with a stiff enough fabric, what did she do (edit: this is when I learned my toddler had flooded our bathroom, hooray!)
As it is, it's just taking a pant style that I would like to wear on my bike to work and making it into something I'm worried about flopping on my ankles all day. :/
