Question: Long-Term Winter Cat-Sits (Calling All Snowbirds!)

Hi sitters and homeowners,

We've done some cat-sitting on THS (3 5-star reviews; no experience with dogs), and are hoping to get a long-term sit for a few months this winter.

I'm wondering how competitive it is to get a long-term winter sit (roughly December-Jan or Feb). Are there certain states in the USA where a lot of people go south for the winter (snowbirds), where there may be more long-term winter sits?

We are most familiar with Washington/British Columbia, Oregon, California, and Colorado. Which of these locations do you think is easiest to find a longer-term winter cat sit sit?

Thank you!

How difficult would it be to get 3-4 months of longer-term sits in the UK in summer?

We're thinking of heading to UK for a series of cat sits (there seems to be a lot of sits there), but would prefer doing several month-long sits in a row (or at least 2-week periods). We don't have any dog sitting experience.

For those who do this full time or sit in the UK, how difficult do you think this would be?
