Hi there, just wanted to preface by saying I will be discussing these questions with my veterinarian once I have the puppy. They were just born, and I'm just doing some research beforehand on what is best to feed.

Hi there, I will be taking home my Toy Fox Terrier puppy once they reach 8 weeks old, the litter was just born this last week so I'm finishing up my prep work in the meantime. My breeder starts them with this kibble: Purina Pro Plan Puppy Small & Mini

Is this a good kibble to start them off with as a puppy? Should I find a food that has a protein other than chicken (I've been seeing a lot of dogs tend to have chicken allergies?)

When should I take them off of the puppy kibble and to adult kibble? And how do I pick an adult kibble, which do y'all recommend? Just want to get an idea, I will obviously ask my vet this question as well.

Hi there, I’m curious what the etiquette is for service dogs trained to hand a card or similar payment to an employee at the register (if that makes sense). Should the service dog do a “paws up/step up” command to hand the item over?

Are there any handlers that utilize this task that would be willing to explain this to me?

I don’t often make the trip to Walmart and when I do I make sure to go on off hours. It was raining so I figured today would be a good choice since many people don’t go out in the rain.

After checking out, my SD is heeling with my on my hands free leash, with no treats needed. When out of nowhere an Australian Cattle Dog labeled as a service dog lunges at the end of its leash at her, growling.

My girl didn’t even bat an eye, and just used the distraction as a cue for her focused heel. If anything I was more startled than she was, the dog came out of nowhere and the handler was also just as shocked.

Especially her being 12lbs, people do not seem to take her seriously. This moment here showed how far she’s come and I’m very grateful for her.

I’m also more than happy to hear moments from you all that you are proud of as a team. <3
