Help needed
Hi everyone, i need help with an issue which i feel its peculiar but maybe someone might help me out. I came in the UK for my studies in 2019, i switched to post-graduate visa afterwards. When it was left with a year i decided to switch to my employer's visa as i was already working. After 9 months the company made me redundant which was in 2024. I applied for 100+ jobs with no interviews secured or hearing back from companies. It was mentally challenging, went through deprresion. Inspite that i never received a 60 days cutailment of my visa email until August 2025. That was like a year later, sounds like luck but nothing was happening for me. Once i got an email, i did ask home office if i could switch back to my postgraduate. I knew it was a tall order but they said they will get back to me and decide if they will refund or not. I kept on asking until i was left with a week and they mentioned they can only decide after 14 days. That was past my legal stay in the UK, so i did not want to overstay and i decided to visit near country where i didnt need a visa. I wish i knew about further leave to remain or self sponsorship.Mind you, i knew i could go back in the UK cause my country was visa free when i left the UK for one week visit. Two days in that country i received news that my country was now going to require visa to come back in, but for people who already booked flight they are given 6 weeks for adjustment. So that was not a problem as i was coming back in 3 days, however the immigration officer refused to let me in saying my country is no longer visa free. i explained the 6 weeks of adjustment, they still refused. Hours later they came back and said i wasnt allowed as my visa has expired, now the story had changed. I was detained for 22 hours, i still stood my ground and refused to go back home. They finally gave me 3 days to go and pack my bags as i was going to be deported. It felt like hell, i was realised on saturday and my deportation was Wednesday, and they took my passport. On Tuesday after i weighed the situation, i called the boarder officer and tell them i have decided to buy my own flight ticket to go back home (which was annoying cause now they even trying to control where i had to go back to), as i knew the consequences of using their ticket. He was really angry and said i just have to use their flight ticket and go back to my own country. Thats when i knew this was something bigger than me, i put an appeal to home office and tribunal court. My deportation was postponed, but its been 6 months am getting refusal on my case with appeal. The thing is, i cant work, i cant do anything, am running out of time for my career. Is been 2 years not working, it would be hard to get back to the market. Am still not sure what i did wrong, which law i broke? someone please help as am at my end. I just feel trapped.
