Secret Gardens of Fourth Ward 2026 Review
My wife and I have had a great time at this event in years past, and it was something we eagerly looked forward to as spring rolled around. But this year's experience was so awful that I felt obligated to somehow share this so that people don't waste their money on this event in future years.
The cost, including fees, is around $42 a ticket. Previously, that would amount to around 10-12 stops with nearly all of the gardens having some drink sponsorship, where you are able to walk around the beautiful gardens in the backyards of historic homes in the Fourth Ward.
Not this year.
The number of stops has been reduced to 7, only 5 of them have a drink tasting, of which the portions are about half the size of what they used to be (and half is being generous...). The "gardens" are also non-existent. There was not a single stop that was actually a backyard garden, most of them were front/side yards, that contained barely any flowers or anything to appreciate. Compared to years previous where 1, maybe 2 of the backyards were inaccessible.
I understand it must be a lot of work on the homeowners side to host all of the guests over these two days, but to still market this event as a tour of the gardens of the neighborhood is criminal.
TLDR: Don't go, they have completely lost our trust, and I do not expect to be attending next year unless some major changes happen
