Anyone else wonder how he became production manager? Just to preface this, I didnt go to university or have any interest in working in media.

1. Karl has no degree/ even basic qualifications

2. Born and raised in Manchester im assuming he had no family/friends connections in London

3. He doesn't seem the type to be interested/bothered with networking

4. He seems to be quite poorly skilled at doing his job; his competitions are amateurish, Ricky says he takes forever to make a trail, he plays songs too early and regularly forgets the xfm phone number etc

5. His general and pop culture knowledge seem very poor for someone in media

Do you think Karl would still be able to get this job today? Just bumbling along.
