Hello!

I do want to preface this with I am a yt woman who's trying to be inclusive in my book, and that I am not fully taking their culture they're just inspiring some islanders in my fantasy world. I am worried it can come off offensive which is why I'm here.

I'm naming some of the characters names Pacific Islanders use, I've also used some words of there's as inspiration to make name places on the island and whatnot.

I'm trying to do this as respectfully as possible, and I'm just trying to see if it could be construed in a way that I'm misappropriating their culture, which is not my intention at all, but I will change things if that's what I'm doing, obviously. Just looking for some advice!
