Eight PS Rhino w Dr Kim Hanjo

Dr Name: Dr Kim Hanjo at Eight PS
Operation Date: 4/1/26
Procedures: functional rhino with bridge straightening plus tip rotation and projection using rib and ear (breakdown in the comments)
Before and after: First two are post op, I’m sitting by the window for extra natural lighting (not using any filters) and last 2 are pre op

Price: 12M KRW after a 15% discount for an honest review. My CT scan in person revealed a severe deviation which needed rib cartilage for correction that was not included in original quote, but everything else was consistent.

Side note I also did jawline lipo with Dr Choi for another 3.3M KRW for more definition. I am super happy with it, this review however will be focused on the rhino since it was pretty straight.

Overall thoughts: I had my surgery in April and this is my 1 month post op results. I’m super happy with my nose and he definitely matched my vision/goals.

Dr Kim Hanjo spent over 30 minutes with me in my consult detailing each part of my nose and level of change I wanted based on my goal photo, he showed me lots of b&a photos of his work and used q tips/ruler to demonstrate how he would modify each area. He recommended against donor rib for my spreader graft (widening my bridge to make more airway) since there’s a small chance of resorption and ear is too soft for that level of support, I didn’t want to take any chances so I went with own my rib. I can fully breathe through both nostrils and sleep much deeper now.

The fluency in English made me feel settled he understood my vision and explain each procedure so I knew what to expect. He was very warm and patient, he is also direct and would correct me but I appreciated his confidence and expertise. I was going for natural refinement, so his style was a good match for me. The surgery took 1.5 hours, he was very fast so I had minimal bruising. My scars are healing well and had zero complications, he saw me after bandage removal and wished me a safe journey home.

Concerns: It was pretty busy in April, lots of foreign and local patients. I pre booked everything so my consults and procedures started on time but post op felt really factory paced (get in get out). There was some pressure to leave once you wake up after surgery so they can turn the room. I went in for red light deswelling 3x and the oxygen chamber—I don’t think it made too much of a difference besides just walking.

Yunie only respond once a day, overall recovery is pretty straight forward but something to note if you’re looking for a dedicated post care team this might not be right for you.

Recovery: I’m very active and walk everyday, that helped my de swelling the most. Dr Kim said pumpkin juice and arnica doesn’t really do anything, also bromelain is a blood thinner which you shouldn’t even be taking before surgery. I’ve seen multiple posts recommending these supplements, please research beforehand.

If you have weak pain tolerance like me, pack your own extra strength painkillers, the post op medication they give you isn’t super strong and I confirmed it’s OK to take Tylenol.
You also need to pick up your own bruise/scar cream, the ointment they give you is just an antibiotic.

Yunie also booked a cab to the airport for me, definitely ask if you’re eligible!
