I spent half my time at a conference this week wiping my hands with antibacterial gel or running back and forth from the bathroom to wash them thoroughly. It is so gross and we know it, but can’t seem to break the “tradition” I’ve touched clammy hands all week that have been who knows where before mine and I need to break the chain. It makes me feel physically ill, but I also don’t want to offend anyone, so have to suck it up because it’s the American Way…
