UK LaboUr, LAST CHANCE. What should they do? Popular progressive mayor likely to take over.

Interested in folks' opinions. Burnham likely to be PM in a month or so IMO.

BUT

Basically zero money to spend on extra handouts (super high debt), but public screaming for radical change.

Like Jordan, I believe the UK is in a very grim place — they need 10-20 years of sacrifice before things improve.

How do you sell this as a LaboUr PM? Or maybe you disagree with this angle?

Thank God we have Labor not LaboUr

UK local elections: LaboUr at 15%. After they get rid of Keir Starmer, they’ll have one more shot, but have no money left to spend on sweeteners. The UK’s future is looking very, very grim.

Jordan sells "Future Made in Australia" as essentially Australia becoming Saudi Arabia 2.0 — exporting hydrogen and renewable energy to the world en masse.

But when this came up on the Socially Democratic podcast, guests like Lissie Ratcliff , Jesse McCrone, and Todd Pinkerton — Chief of Staff to Daniel Andrews, Deputy Chief of Staff to Daniel Andrews, and New South Wales Union campaign head respectively — seemed to think the policy is really just about moving up the value-added chain, which is great, but the energy exporting superpower angle? They either didn't seem to know where it was coming from or didn't want to talk about it.

So do you think Jordan is overselling it?

Regulars include David Feeney, former Labor senator, and Jessie McCrone, former deputy chief of staff to Daniel Andrews, among others. They give their takes on current issues, and on their Patreon you can ask them questions as well.
