When a call comes in on my phone and I have the small green box at the top of the screen of my 10 Pro tapping on that icon will not answer the call. I used to say "Answer" to my Pixel 8 phone when I had a similar non-answer problem and it would pick up on the call, but no luck with the Pixel Phone. I have to answer the call on my watch! I wish there was a way to correct this problem.
