(To Germany) Family Visit Visa for me and my dad
Hi everyone, i'm currently building visa profiles for myself and my dad.
We plan to visit my girlfriend's family in Germany, flying on July 17th.
- For my visa profile, I have already made this trip once last year, so I will prepare for it the same way. Plus, i also have proof of previous Schengen visa, and also I will have a Verpflichtungserklärung again from my girlfriend. So I'm very sure my profile will be accepted.
- For my dad's visa profile, I am preparing all the necessary documents which is no problem, except for the "Invitation Letter".
The person inviting (me and my dad) will be my girlfriend, who is currently living in Berlin, so the address will be set in Berlin.
However, we will arrive in Frankfurt, and will stay there for 2 weeks (afterwards he will leave but i will stay), at her family's house with me and also my girlfriend too.
For last year's trip, the person inviting was still my girlfriend, address in Berlin too - but I landed in Frankfurt and stayed there for a bit. The Frankfurt family house address was only reflected in my Cover letter. The visa worked without a hitch.
This year, I am concerned that given the discrepancy between addresses (Berlin and Frankfurt), my dad's visa profile is likely to be rejected.
What should I do? Here are some of my ideas:
Inviting person for me will be my girlfriend based in Berlin. Inviting person for my dad will be her mom based in Frankfurt (where he will spend the most time in).
Still go through with just 1 inviting person (my girlfriend) for both of us, and specifying the details in depth in the Cover letter. (same as last year)
