Sett x Sona

Sett x Sona

A question: Do you find it sweet seeing Sett and Sona together in the "Crystal Rose" cinematic released for Wild Rift? Personally, I’m not really into shipping characters, but a friend started doing it, and honestly, after seeing some fan art, I really like this pairing.

Even though the screenshot doesn't look very clear, haha.

Difference between LoL and Wild Rift

I’m a LoL player who has been playing Wild Rift for several months; it’s a great, fast-paced alternative since matches are short, and the skins look amazing. I mostly play support, but I really can't seem to adapt to champions like Sona, Janna, and Soraka. I know they got reworks and I thought they’d be fun, but they just weren't. Sona lost her passive—which used to be an empowered basic attack that dealt extra damage, reduced enemy damage output, and slowed movement speed. Instead, she now has a short-duration CC ability that isn't all that useful; I only really see it being used to interrupt ultimates like Samira’s or Katarina’s. Her ultimate, despite covering a large area, is really slow—offering just a 1-second CC duration plus a slow. Compare that to the PC version, which is instant and fast, with a longer 1.5-second CC duration; because it's faster, you can actually initiate a team fight or catch the enemy off guard before they engage, easily wiping them out. Plus, the PC version has a second passive that reduces cooldowns on basic abilities and the ultimate, allowing for faster spamming; overall, I feel the PC version is much more useful than the Wild Rift one. Janna got ruined. Even though she has two tornadoes or knock-ups, the CC duration is really short. On PC, the knock-up lasts between 0.5 and 1.25 seconds depending on the charge time and travels a huge distance. Her W no longer slows; it only deals damage or grants movement speed. (I’m not sure if this existed before the rework, but applying CC used to reduce shield duration, or perhaps it used to boost shield and healing power). Her shield automatically targets the most wounded ally, so you lose the utility of manually choosing who gets the AD buff, and the shields themselves are really small. On PC, you can choose the target to maximize the AD buff, and the shield is larger. I do like her ultimate, but the fact that she can move while using it seems to have led to a nerf in her healing output. Soraka remains largely the same—she doesn't lose health [when healing]—but there are a few small details worth noting. Her Q is the same—it deals damage and slows—and she gains health regeneration; however, on PC she also gains movement speed (I'm not sure if that was removed). Her W is the same, but compared to the PC version, it heals for more; plus, if you use the Q correctly, you can grant the buff to the ally—meaning that in addition to the instant heal, they gain health regeneration and movement speed. That said, I feel she is quite fragile, especially since she doesn't lose health [to cast spells] and her healing was toned down—a Nami actually out-heals her in the early levels.
