Hi, im not going to say mine or my ex's name as even though i hate them i wouldnt out them online, so in 8th grade i had dated a girl who was not conventionally attractive, she was very avoidant most of the relationship and refrained from me even hugging her. So after about 6 months i stopped talking and we broke up. Come freshman year i didnt say much about her other than the occasional "yeah thats my ex i dont like her" and wouldnt ever think much of it, around december my friend whos name im also not going to say started dating her and told me he didnt actually like her. But eventually he grew distant from me because im assuming he was told smth untrue about me by her, its now april of freshman year and my ex spreads a rumor that i had molested her(we had never even kissed on the lips) so i was very obviously mad and i talked to my former friend about it and he wouldnt hear me out, he then tried getting his friends to jump me for it and in the bathroom when they were shaking me down(i didnt have anything on me, not even a phone) he walked in and changed his mind which i was grateful for. Eventually people stopped believing it and so my ex came up with a rumor that i liked loli's, at this point i was extremely mad about this so i spoke to my friend again and he told me he didnt want to ever talk to me again and said i should be grateful he didnt let me get jumped and cut me off. I have lost about 10 friends due to this rumor and I'm not sure if i should fight it or just let it go away on its own. Please help me, i do not hate my ex but she is so petty and will not stop
