I think I like this genre? I thought for sure I did until about 10 minutes ago and saw the collective bashing of Worship and their Coachella sets. I will defend their performances forever as the perfect avenues to get new fans to realize that this shit fucking rips, let's dance and dance and dance. But I'm starting to get the sense that I'm telling people I like rock music after only listening to Imagine Dragons and now I'm worried that I've just been stunningly oblivious about past and present icons like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Metallica and the Strokes.
I've dipped my toes a bit (seen Chase & Status twice, Worship 3x). My friend introduced me to DnB during early COVID lockdown when she sent me the Sub Focus x Wilkinson @ Corfe Castle set; their Illuminate fucking floored me and I was hooked. But I have always gravitated towards the Worship tracks I've picked up from their biggest sets available on YouTube (Red Rocks 25, Ultra 26 and now Chella 26). Yet I know there is a deeper ocean I can wade into, and frustratingly I don't have a Spotify account to enjoy the playlists I see that this sub updated.
Any suggestions you have would be much appreciated.
