What to do if the fed enemy champion beats your champion?
I'm a silver/gold player, and I am trying to identify what it is I just dont understand about this game. I have been playing on and off for years, and have quite a few games under my belt. I think I played the game for too long on auto pilot, and that I as a result have some bad habits that I either cant identify, or simply dont understand is bad habits in the first place.
One of my strenghts, though, is keeping a high gold per minute, either from stomping lane or converting a losing lane into gold during the game. This results in me being "the carry" quite often. A weakness of mine, however, is converting that into a win. I have too many losses that says 27/4/10 (ACE). Almost every loss I have feels like "the second I die, the game is over".
This brings up the point of my title, how do I carry my team, if the fed enemy champion just cucks my champion completely? I know its champion specific, but hopefully there are some knowledgeable people here that can break it down into concepts?
And if at all possible, it would be nice if theres any advice outside champion mastery. I could probably play Nilah or Fizz to emerald, but my focus this season has been learning the game from the ground up, and not just rely on mechanics and mastery (and lack of enemy knowledge on Nilah) alone. In other words, I'm not playing for LP, I'm trying to learn how to win, if that makes sense.
Oh, and as I'm typing, and new question occurred to me: if I'm a squishy champion, should I build resistances against the fed enemy as soon as i finish the core build, or should I add to my own offensive power? Because I often (not always tho) feel like resistances are useless, because if enemy catches me, I'm just dead anyways.
